Silver Hart Property

  • CMC’s flagship property is the Silver Hart property (116 claims, 2,017 ha) located in south-central Yukon. It comprises of a high grade classic meta-sediment hosted silver-lead-zinc veins identified in several sub-zones in the Main Zone with mineralization traced for over 1.2 kilometers.

    Underground development completed in the early 1980’s comprises of 673 meters of adit with two raises. Since then over 170 drill holes have been drilled in the Main Zone. Polymetallic veins contain galena, tetrahedrite and sphalerite. In 2010, Dahrouge Geological Consulting estimated an NI 43-101 inferred resource of 69,500 tons grading 555.66 g/t silver, 1.89% lead and 9.12% zinc (using a 600 g/t silver cutoff with 1,240,000 contained ounces of silver)). Recent work has identified that more mineralization may be distributed through both the footwall and hanging wall which could significantly add to known tonnages and mineable grades may exist in waste material from the adits. CMC is currently working on integrating all of the data into a Leapfrog model, evaluating past drill core, and plans to undertake an induced polarization survey to examine the potential for expansion of the resource in the Main Zone.

    Highlights of the 2019 exploration included:

    • Trenching in the TM subzone of the Main Zone produced a best result of 10.5 meters grading 898.4 g/t silver, 0.97% lead and 0.29% zinc, including 5.0 meters of 1,140 g/t silver, 0.84% lead and 0.32% zinc;
    • A best drill intersection in the S subzone of the Main Zone comprising of 5.5 meters grading 1,139 g/t silver, 11.38% lead and 8.61% zinc from 37.5-43.0 meters; and,
    • A best drill intersection in the TM subzone of the Main Zone comprising of 11.7 meters grading 993.7 g/t silver, 4% lead and 9.6% zinc from 38.25-49.95 meters.

    Additional details and results are presented in the 2019 Press Releases.

    The deposit type is considered comparable to significant silver deposits in Mexico and Idaho.

    Two new zones were also identified in the 2019 exploration program and the anomalous areas are significant in size.
